Grand reception for team SBT
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM,
MAY 27.
State Bank of Travancore, which won the Second Division National Football League in Bangalore and qualified for the premier NFL, was given a rousing reception at the Thiruvananthapuram Central railway station here on Thursday.
The Kerala Sports Council President, C. Mohanachandran, and the District Football Association officials and large number of fans were present at the station to welcome the team. SBT coach, Najeeb, said the team was overwhelmed by the warmth shown by the well wishers. He expressed hope that SBT's entry into the First Division NFL will do a world of good for Kerala football. Later the team was felicitated by the SBT chief manager, P.P. Pattanayak, at a function held at the bank headquarters.
