KOLLAM, MAY 27. A diary containing details of more than 10,000 blood donors in the State, being brought out by the district administration, will be formally released at a function here tomorrow. On the occasion the amount realised by selling waste paper, collected under the Drishti programme from school children, will be handed over to the District Blindness Control Society. The District Information Office informed that Rs. 5.27 lakhs had been realised through the sale of waste paper and that the amount would go for cataract free district programme launched by the district administration. At the function, to be presided over by the Labour Minister, Babu Divakaran, the Health Minister, Kadavoor Sivadasan, will be the chief guest. The Kollam MP, P. Rajendran and the District Collector, Rajan Khobragade, among others will address the gathering.
