Hemant Singh shines

NEW DELHI, MAY 27. Hemant Singh's all-round performance (77 and three for 27) helped Ravindra Public School beat Meera Model School by 38 runs in a league match in the Cambridge Foundation under-19 summer league cricket championship here.

The scores: Ravindra Public School 285 for four in 30 overs (Hemant Singh 77, Shawej Khan 75, Anuj Jain 42) bt Meera Model School 247 in 27 overs (Awaneet Sethi 101, D. Sridhar 81, Hemant Singh three for 47, Sandeep Singh three for 43).

Cambridge Foundation School 221 for eight in 30 overs (Jitesh Khanna 88, Ayush Gulati 30, Roshabh Batla 32) lost to Gold Star Club 224 for six in 28.5 overs (Pargat Singh 79, Kartik Bhatia 43 not out, Mannu Sharma 34, Ankur Gupta three for 40).
