Gambhir slams century

NEW DELHI, MAY 27. Gautam Gambhir lived up to the expectations with a brilliant 129 for Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) against Food Corporation of India (FCI) to enable his team enter the semifinals of the Lala Raghubir Singh hot weather cricket tournament at the Modern School ground here on Thursday. ONGC won the rain-affected match on a better run-rate.

The scores: ONGC 281 for eight in 40 overs (Gautam Gambhir 129, Sarandeep Singh 55, Pankaj Thakur four for 47) bt FCI 138 for eight in 22 overs (Akash Malhotra 41, Manu Sharma 31, Amit Mishra three for 19).
