JODHPUR, MAY 27. The trial in the Siachen Glacier alleged fake killings case began today with Col. K.D. Singh, Commanding Officer of the Gorkha Battalion, deposing that most of the encounters were real. He said that the "encounters" in several strategic locations on the higher reaches of the glacier, the capture of which was recorded in video, were "real" and that enemy soldiers shown being killed were "indeed real."
