Resignation denied

By Our Special Correspondent

AHMEDABAD, MAY 27. Two State BJP general secretaries — Bhupendrasinh Chudasma, who is also a member of the Modi Cabinet, and Jayantibhai Barot — in a joint statement denied that the Chief Minister, Narendra Modi, had offered to resign yesterday. They claimed that Mr. Modi made no such offer at the informal Cabinet meeting and such a rumour was deliberately spread by some ``pseudo-secularists.'' They said the move by the BJP MLAs was an ``internal matter'' of the party which could be sorted out.
