GANDHINAGAR, MAY 27. In an open revolt against the Gujarat Chief Minister, Narendra Modi, a group of BJP MLAs, claiming majority support, have demanded an immediate change of leadership. Speaking on behalf of the dissident MLAs, the former Deputy Minister, Purshottam Solanki, said the party high command should take immediate action and nothing less than Mr. Modi's removal would satisfy them. He claimed the support of at least 85 members in the 127-member BJP Legislature Party.
