Saras flight put off
BANGALORE,
MAY 27.
The maiden flight of the first prototype of Saras, the first indigenously built civilian aircraft, scheduled for tomorrow, has been put off to Saturday.
``It is highly unlikely that Saras will take off tomorrow," the National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL) Director, B. R. Pai, told PTI here this evening.
Sources said the maiden flight had been scheduled at 8.10 am on Saturday.
The Bangalore-based NAL has designed and developed the 14-seater multi-role aircraft.
The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal S. Krishnaswamy, said yesterday that the aircraft would be flown by Indian Air Force pilots on Friday.
