By Sushanta Talukdar

GUWAHATI, MAY 28 . An official Russian tea delegation on Thursday called upon Indian tea majors in Assam to improve the quality of tea produced in India and to check the decline in export volume to Russia.

The ten-member delegation headed by Sharif Gantsev, which included tea producers, buyers and tea tasters from Russia had an interaction with officials of the Tea Board, top executives of tea majors in Assam and officials of Guwahati Tea Auction Centre on Thursday.
