KURNOOL, MAY 28. The District Collector, Ajay Jain, announced a financial assistance of Rs 5,000 towards funeral expenses to the family of Krishnaiah, a contributor of a Telugu daily at Owk who committed suicide yesterday. The A.P. Union of Working Journalists district president, Michael Babu, and the secretary, Krupavaram, met the Collector and requested him for financial assistance to the family. Mr. Krishnaiah committed suicide yesterday due to financial troubles.Also, the Collector sanctioned a house under IAY and promised to examine other possibilities for help to the family of the deceased.
