BANGALORE, MAY 28. The Christel House Open golf tournament is likely to be recognised by the Guinness Book of Records by next year. The tournament is unique as it is the only one played simultaneously in five continents, 24 different time zones and 30 golf courses around the world. The entire proceeds from the tournaments go to support the five Christel House charity schools all over the world. The Indian leg of the Christel House tournament is to be held at the Karnataka Golf Association Course and Pune Club golf course, along with the other courses around the world, on June 14. A field of 3,000 golfers will contribute towards this tournament. Applauding the efforts for helping underprivileged children, former Test cricketer, Kapil Dev, said, "Some are fortunate to be showered with fame and success. I am really happy that corporate houses are coming forward to help the poor and needy children, and make better human beings of them." Incidentally, Kapil is hoping to rope in Irfan Pathan and Lakshmipathy Balaji for the tournament. Kapil will be helping the two fast bowlers in the camp in Bangalore at the time the Christel House open tournament will be held. Frank Koster of ING Vysya, Lee Kennedy of 3M and Salil Punoose of Christel House also spoke on the occasion. The Christel House golf tournament is being supported by ING Vysya as the presenting sponsor while 3M, Swarowski, RCI and Taj West End are also helping to stage the event. Our Special Correspondent
