Cloudy sky forecast

A generally cloudy sky, with the maximum temperature hovering around 37 degree C, is the forecast for Saturday. The city, on Friday, recorded a maximum temperature of 36.9 degree C and a minimum of 23.2 degree C. The relative humidity stood at 46 per cent.

Auto meter recalibration

The Controller of Legal Metrology has informed that May 31 is the last day for recalibration of auto meters with Rs. 100 compounding fee. Auto drivers can get recalibration done on May 30 also, according to a press release.

Career guidance

An exhibition to guide students seeking entry into engineering colleges would be held at Visvesvaraya Bhavan, Khairatabad, from May 29 to 31.

K. Venkatesh, director of KAB Educational Consultants, said that 22 top colleges from the city and nearby districts are participating in the exhibition. Representatives from the industry and IT professionals would also interact with students. The entry is free.

Last date extended

Xavier Vignana Jyothi Institute of Management has extended the last date for receipt of filled-in applications till June 3 for its 12th batch (2004-2006) of Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) commencing June 28, according to a press release.

Short break for bank's ATMs

ATMs of Andhra Bank will not be functioning from 11 pm on May 29 to 7 am on May 30 in view of the shifting of hardware of the Department of Information Technology of the bank, according to a press release.

Pension Adalat

The Pension Adalat of the city division will be held on June 15 at 11 a.m. in the office of the Senior Superintendent of Post Offices. Grievances of postal pensioners may be sent to R. Waghmare, Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, to reach on or before June 7.
