BSP condemns formation of new Government

By Our Staff Reporter

BANGALORE, MAY 28. The state unit of Bahujan Samaj Party has condemned the formation of the Congress-Janata Dal (Secular) coalition government in the State.

In a statement issued on Friday, the Secretary of the BSP State unit, Shridar Kaliveer, said the Janata Dal (S), which won seats by deploring the policies of the Congress Government, had now joined hands with it (the Congress). By doing so, the Janata Dal (S) had thrown the democratic principles to the wind.

He said the people's mandate to the Congress was to act as an Opposition party. But the party had gone against it and occupied the seat of power.
