Khairwal to hold additional charge as Chief Secretary

PONDICHERRY, MAY 30. The Secretary to Port department, C.S. Khairwal (belonging to the 1974 batch of IAS in the AGMU cadre), will hold additional charge as Chief Secretary.

The Lt. Governor, N.N. Jha, today issued the orders. Mr. Khairwal will hold the additional charge until further orders, said a release from the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (Personnel wing) of the Pondicherry Administration.

(This arrangement became necessary following the death of the the Chief Secretary, R. Padmanabhan, on Saturday.)
