Councillors allege irregularities

TIRUPATI. May 30. Municipal councillors belonging to the Congress are planning to take a delegation to the Chief Minister in the next few days to seek his intervention into the alleged large-scale financial and administrative irregularities reported in the Tirupati Municipality's Revenue Department.

The councillors, led by P. Naveen Kumar Reddy, in a statement, alleged that library cess to the tune of Rs. 4 crores was misappropriated while taxes collected over a period of time also was not remitted into the Government treasury.
