Comprehensive wins for Sykes, Infosys

BANGALORE, MAY 30. Sykes and Infosys scored comprehensive victories in the Seagrams Royal Stag corporate cricket tournament, organised by Imtiaz Ahmed Cricket Academy here on Sunday.

While Sykes scored a comfortable 129-run win over Texport Garments Nitin spun a web around the HDFC batsmen to claim five for 11 in Infosys' 97-run win.

Infosys made 199 for eight in 25 overs with Sandeep making a stroke-filled 72 (10x4's). HDFC in reply was bowled out for 102 in 21 overs.

The scores: Sykes 217 for five in 25 overs (Gurudev 65, Arindam 43, Vishwanath 45) bt Texport Garments 88 in 18 overs (Srinivas four for 17).

Infosys 199 for eight in 25 overs (Sandeep 72, Sachidanand 37, Arvind 36; Venkat Joshi three for 37) bt HDFC 102 in 21 overs (Venkatachalapathy 29, Ismail 25; Nitin five for 11).
