Four Pakistani tennis players to play in India
Islamabad: Four Pakistani tennis players, including National champion Aqeel Khan, would be seen in action in a series of Satellite tournaments to be held in India starting next month.
The players would feature in at least four ITF Satellite events in New Delhi, Chandigarh, Mumbai and Chennai.
The month-long tour has been organised by the Pakistan Tennis Federation as part of its preparations for the crucial Davis Cup Asia Oceania Group-I play-off against New Zealand in September, local daily The News reported here on Sunday.
Apart from Aqeel, the other members of the team include the National champion's younger brother Jaleel Khan and two youngsters Shahzad Khan and Wasif Cheema.
The Indian leg of the ITF Satellite circuit will begin in New Delhi from June 7, where PTF is trying to get a wildcard for Aqeel in the main event, while all other players would have to go through the qualifying rounds. PTI
