BANGALORE, MAY 30. Several State and national-level political leaders were among the large number of people who turned up for the weddings in the families of two prominent political leaders of the State the former Railway Minister, C.K. Jaffer Sharief, and the former Home Minister, M. Mallikarjun Kharge, here on Sunday. The marriages were those of Mr. Sharief's granddaughter, Umme Kulsum Sharief, and one of the sons of Mr. Kharge, Priyank Kharge, who is a State Youth Congress leader. Those who attended the marriages included the Union Home Minister, Shivraj Patil, the Chief Minister, N. Dharam Singh, the former Chief Minister, S.M. Krishna, the former Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot, the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders, H.N. Ananth Kumar and B.S. Yediyurappa, the AICC General Secretary, Vilasrao Deshmukh, and the new Union Ministers from the State, M.V. Rajashekaran and K. Rahman Khan.
