At Waltair, the maximum temperature was 32.5 degree Celsius and the minimum was 26.8 degree Celsius respectively on Sunday. Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 75 per cent and at 5.30 p.m. was 67 per cent.

At Airport, the maximum and minimum temperatures were 37.8 degree Celsius and 27.0 degree Celsius respectively. Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 67 per cent and at 5.30 p.m. was 52 per cent.

The maximum and minimum temperatures at the Dolphin's Nose were 33.6 degree Celsius and 24.8 degree Celsius respectively. Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 70 per cent.

Jadugar Anand will hold his 75th show in the city at Kalabharati auditorium on Monday. The district Collector, Sunil Sharma, will grace the diamond jubilee show as the chief guest.

Painting contest winners

V. Murudula won the first prize in the under six age group in the Pidilite Industries painting competition conducted by Bala Vikas Foundation on the theme `environmental protection our duty', on Sunday.

Other winners are: Under six years: 2. P. Abhignya, 3. K. Yuva Rahul. Under 12 years: 1. K. Meher Kumar, 2. N. Mounika, 3. Kanakaparthi Lavanya, consolation prizes: D. Shakeena and B. Mahendra Kumar.

Under 15 years: 1. G. Thejeswari, 2. D.R. nanda gowtham, 3. B. Charita, consolation prizes: S. Appala Raju and Debasish Bowmick.

The prizes to the winners would be given away during the World Environment Day celebrations on June 5 at 4 p.m., at the NT College premises in Akkayyapalem, according to BVF secretary, Narava Prakasa Rao.
