Cloudy sky forecast

Cloudy sky with chances of rain or thundershower in parts of the city has been forecast for Monday. The maximum temperature is likely to be around 37 degree Celsius. The maximum temperature recorded on Sunday was 38 degree Celsius and minimum was 26.3 degree Celsius. Relative humidity was 43 per cent and there was a trace of rainfall.

Physical education course

The UGC-Academic Staff College of Osmania University is conducting a refresher course in Physical Education for physical directors and lecturers working in universities and colleges from June 16 to July 3. Interested persons can contact the college or over phone numbers: 27098102 or 27682346.

Passing-out parade

As many as 49 cadet sub-inspectors (civil) of Tripura passed out from the Andhra Pradesh Police Academy (APPA) recently. This is the first time that the Tripura Government has assigned the task of training its SIs to the APPA. The SIs have been given intensive training in arms drill, lathi drill, unarmed combat and yoga. They have also been given special training on all weapons with emphasis on field craft and anti-terrorist and insurgency operations, according to a press release.
