ALLAHABAD, MAY 30 . Eleven persons were burnt alive and seven more, three of them children, injured in a major fire when a cooking gas cylinder exploded in a house in a labourers' colony here today, police said. The fire, which broke out in one of the thatched houses in the colony at Haddigodam, engulfed the other tenements in the locality, killing 11 persons. The injured were admitted to hospital. A dozen fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the flames, police said. PTI
