Praiseworthy

Sir, — The Congress president, Sonia Gandhi's reported refusal of the offer of two mine-proof BMW cars for her use is praiseworthy and enhances her stature in the eyes of the public.

This gesture should put to shame some BJP leaders who made a big fuss over her assumption of the country's premiership and even held out distasteful threats.
