MYSORE, JUNE 2. A stroke-filled century by C.S. Sharan (107, 128b, 8x4s, 2x6s) and his 124-run second-wicket partnership with opener K.P. Madan Kumar (72, 80b, 4x4s) helped Mysore (Chamundi) XI to register a big 203-run win over Chamarajanagar and clinch the title in the Mofussil Zones inter-district U-17 cricket tournament conducted by the KSCA Mysore Zonal committee at the Maharaja's College grounds here on Wednesday. In the other tie at Gangotri grounds, which turned out to be a low scoring match, Mysore (Brindavan) registered a 76-run win over Mandya. Mysore (Chamundi) XI 275 for three in 50 overs ( C.S. Sharan 107, K.P. Madan Kumar 72, K.B. Pavan 55 not out) bt Chamarajanagar 72 in 25.5 overs ( Tousif Ahmed four for five, Nagarjuna three for 30).
