Sweltering heat spell on

The sweltering heat will continue with the Met Office forecasting the day temperature to be around 39 degree Celsius on Thursday.

It also forecast a partly cloudy sky.

On Wednesday the maximum temperature was 39.5 degree Celsius, minimum 26.1 degree Celsius and relative humidity 29 per cent.

Pension Adalat on June 25

The city sorting division, Railway Mail Service, Department of Posts, will hold a Pension Adalat on June 25 at 3 p.m. in the office of the Senior Superintendent.

Grievances relating to pension, gratuity and other issues can be sent to the office on or before June 15, with the covers marked as `Pension Adalat,' according to a press release.

Free yoga camp for students

Shree Hanuman Vyayamshala is organising a 10-day free yoga camp for school children at Shree Hanuman Vyayamshala Public School, Kanda Swamy Lane, Sultan Bazar, from June 4.

Classes will be conducted from 6 a.m. to 7.15 a.m. and from 6 p.m. to 7.15 p.m.

Urs on June 7, 8

The 41st annual `urs' of Syed Abdullah Shah Saheb and 12th `urs' of Syed Khaleelullah Shah Saheb will be held on June 7 and 8 at Naqshbandi Chaman, Misri Gunj, according to a press release.

HUDA staff gesture

Members of the HUDA Employees Union have decided to contribute a day's salary to the free power scheme to farmers. Office-bearers of the union called on the Chief Minister here on Wednesday and conveyed their decision.

Police donation

Staff members of the Cyberabad police commissionerate donated Rs. 2,313 to Satya Sai Old-Age Home at Kottaguda on Wednesday, according to a press release.
