China silent

BEIJING, JUNE 2. China, one of the five recognised nuclear powers, today kept mum on New Delhi's surprise call for a ``common'' nuclear doctrine for India, China and Pakistan and sought to distance itself from any move that would acknowledge the nuclear status of New Delhi and Islamabad.
