By Our Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI, JUNE 2. A former employee of a chemist, who was found murdered in his Dwarka office on April 3, has been arrested along with two of his accomplices for allegedly killing him before robbing him of Rs. 30,000, mobile phones, a gold ring and a wristwatch.

The incident came to light on the April 3 morning when the chemist, Rajiv Soni, was found murdered with his throat slit and injuries in other parts of the body. Enquiries revealed that he was into supply of antibiotics and other medicines. The police found out that Rajiv used to keep five mobile phones for receiving orders. The mobile phones, a bag containing Rs. 30,000, his gold ring and wristwatch were found missing from the office.

During investigations, the police questioned Rajiv's employees and former employees and zeroed in on one Mukesh Kumar who had left the job a month before Rajiv was murdered. He was found missing from his Delhi house, following which a police team was sent to his native place. He was not found there but the police found out that he had recently spent lavishly on his cousin's marriage, creating suspicion that he was involved in Rajiv's murder.

Subsequently, the police carried out raids at several parts of the Capital and finally detained him along with two other suspects, Deepak and Hari Singh, from Dwarka. During interrogation, they confessed to having murdered Rajiv for money. Mukesh knew that Rajiv used to leave his office every morning with the previous day's collection.
