Letters to the Editor
Sir, The march by MPs of the National Democratic Alliance to the Rashtrapati Bhavan to hand over a memorandum demanding that the chargesheeted Ministers be removed has started a new chapter in Indian politics. The next elections, in all probability, will be fought over criminalisation of politics.
Sumeet Seth,
Sir, The Opposition parties are demanding the removal of `tainted' Ministers. The ruling combine retorts by pointing out that the previous Ministry also included such Ministers. The serious issue of criminalisation of politics has been reduced to a wordy duel between the NDA and the UPA. The ruling party spokesperson further saying that the political parties in the UPA have the `mandate' is adding insult to injury.
P.R.V. Raja,
Sir, The NDA's demand for the removal of `tainted' Ministers in the UPA Government is like the pot calling the kettle black. For the Opposition, which has run out of ideas after the fizzling out of the foreign origin issue, to raise a hue and cry over the inclusion of tainted Ministers is a waste of time.
T. Prabhakara Rao,
