BELLARY, JUNE 4. The police on Thursday arrested four persons in connection with the murder of B. Raghavendra, former councillor. The names of the arrested persons were given as Jagadish alias Jagga, Lokesh alias Loki, Srinivas, and Oblesh. The accused were absconding after the murder. Raghavendra, who was the son of the former municipal president, B. Kumaraswamy, was hacked to death on May 25. He was attacked near the NEKRTC bus depot on Sirguppa road. A special squad, headed by the Bellary Deputy Superintendent of Police, Bheemaiah, was formed to apprehend the culprits. The accused were produced in court and were remanded in judicial custody till June 16, the police said.
