MLAs' security cover

The Home Minister, K. Jana Reddy, said that security was neither minimised nor withdrawn in case of MLAs. Rebutting a charge made by TDP members, he said security for MLAs was being dealt independently by a high review committee. Withdrawal or scaling down would be done only after a clearance by the committee. The Minister, however, said the Government would intervene if it was found that the committee did not do its job properly. The Government was contemplating reducing security for some as per the recommendations of the committee.
