`Has VS visited injured CPI(M) activists?'
By Our Staff Reporter
THRISSUR,
JUNE 4.
The senior Congress leader, K. Karunakaran, today ridiculed the Leader of the Opposition, V.S. Achuthanandan, for his haste in visiting the former KPCC general secretaries, Sharatchandra Prasad and Rajmohan Unnithan, who have been hospitalised after the violent incidents that occurred before the KPCC executive committee meeting on Wednesday.
"On the face of it, I don't see anything wrong in the Leader of the Opposition visiting somebody in the hospital. But has Mr Achuthanandan shown so much presence of mind to visit the CPI(M) men in the hospital?'' Mr Karunakaran quipped while replying to questions from reporters here.
When his attention was drawn to the reported statement of the Speaker, Vakkom Purushothaman, that he was not able to walk with his head held high and was ashamed to talk about politics because of the latest developments in the Congress, Mr Karunakaran quipped, "So much the better.''
