Ganja seized, three held

COIMBATORE, JUNE 4. The Narcotic Intelligence Bureau-CID personnel today arrested two persons and seized 20 kgs of ganja during a vehicle check on the Palakkad Road near Karumbukkadai in Ukkadam today.

The sleuths led by Inspector Chandrasekhar conducted a vehicle check and intercepted a jeep coming from Kerala.

On examination, they found a gunny bag containing three bundles of ganja. Enquiries revealed that the contraband was meant for retail vending in the southern districts of TN. The police seized the jeep and also arrested Benny (30), Shaji (25) of Idukki district and Murugan (23) of Palakkad district in Kerala.
