Traffic curbs at Vidhana Soudha

BANGALORE, JUNE 4. The City Police have imposed restrictions on traffic movement around the Vidhana Soudha in view of the swearing-in ceremony of new ministers at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

Vehicle movement has been prohibited on both directions from Police Thimmaiah Circle to K.R. Circle on the Ambedkar Road; from Basaveshwara Circle to AG's Junction on Devaraja Urs Road; from entering Vidhana Soudha through Ambedkar statue.

Vehicles with VVIP and VIP passes have to reach Vidhana Soudha through Basaveshwara Circle - AG's Junction - Devaraja Urs Statue Gate route. These vehicles are provided with parking facility at the North and the South portions of Vidhana Soudha.

The invitees to the ceremony have been asked to proceed from Basaveshwara Circle to Palace Road, take a left turn at COD junction and enter south gate of Vidhana Soudha by passing through Park House and Devaraja Urs Roads. They are provided with parking facility at the south gate, Devaraja Urs Road and Sudarshan Guest House places.

Vehicles without passes have been prohibited from entering Vidhana Soudha from Basaveshwara Circle and COD Junction. The public have been permitted to enter Cubbon Park through K.R. Circle and park their vehicles there, an official release said.

Guidelines for invitees

Another press note said that only invitees would be allowed to enter the place of the ceremony. Invitees provided with white badges have been asked to enter the north side of Vidhana Soudha from Devaraja Statue. Those wearing red badges have been asked to enter from the south part of Vidhana Soudha. All the invitees have been asked to occupy their seats by 12.30 p.m.
