BELGAUM, JUNE 5. A mass marriage for physically challenged people will be organised here on June 23, thanks to the initiative taken by Ghanshyam T. Bhandage. The organisers will discourage marriage between physical challenged people. Either the bride or the groom should not have disabilities. Mr. Bhandage, State award winner, international sportsperson and vice-president of the Karnataka Physically Handicapped Federation and Sports Parishat, said a counselling of prospective couples would be held at the Institution of Engineers here on Sunday. The organisers will bear the cost of the function, including those on clothes for the couples, mangalsutra, the wedding feast, and so on. For details, call Mr. Bhandage on 94482-31442/98863-78155. The organisers will accept donations for the conduct of the mass marriage.
