HYDERABAD, JUNE 5. A meeting of the Transport Ministers of the southern States will be held in Hyderabad on the first or second Saturday of next month.
The Chief Minister, Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, agreed to host the meeting here in response to a suggestion made by the Kerala Transport Minister, Balakrishna Pillai, who met him here this morning.
Mr. Pillai explained to Dr. Reddy the decisions taken by previous such conferences, some of which could not be implemented due to lack of initiative from the Tamil Nadu Government.
Dr. Reddy told Mr. Pillai that movement of transport vehicles should be made easy at least within the southern States.
