KURNOOL, JUNE 5. The president of Rayalaseema Party, B. Lambodaram, has urged the Congress to give adequate representation to the region in both the Union and State cabinets. In a statement, he said Rayalaseema was the most backward area in the State. Of the five MPs of TRS, two were given ministries even as the State Government was planning to accommodate five TRS MLAs in the State cabinet. He said there were no representatives of Rayalaseema in the Central cabinet. Mr. Lambodaram urged the Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, to give priority to completion of pending projects in the region since he was well aware of the irrigation problems in Rayalaseema. The meeting of the Rayalaseema party constituted the Kallur mandal committee at a meeting today.
