`Ekbal committed breach of law'

By Our Special Correspondent

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, JUNE 5. The former additional chief secretary, T. N. Jayachandran, has said the former Kerala University Vice-Chancellor, B. Ekbal, had committed breach of law by occupying the highest office in the university while being a member of a political party.

In a statement here today, Mr. Jayachandran said though Dr. Ekbal was a good Vice-Chancellor as compared to many others, he had erred in keeping his membership in the CPI(M) a secret.
