GULBARGA, JUNE 5. Two students of Mahadevappa Rampure Medical College have bagged the first and third ranks in the II year MBBS examinations conducted by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in March. Ayesha, who secured 80.21 per cent, stood first and Arati Mane who got 78.07 per cent third. While Ms. Ayesha scored 1,123 marks out of 1,400, Ms. Arati Mane secured 1,093 marks out of 1,400. Ms. Ayesha, whose parents are doctors and working at the KBN Medical College and Research Institute, had secured 13th rank in the Common Entrance Test. In the pre-university examination she had got 92.83 per cent. Ms. Arati Mane, who stood 23rd in the CET ranking, had obtained 94.66 per cent in the PUC examination. While Ms. Ayesha studied at Sharanabasaveshwar Science College, Ms. Arati Mane was a student of Sharanabasaveshwar Residential Public School. The Principal and Dean of the medical college, Mallikarjun Bhandari, who congratulated the two girls on their achievement, said the overall performance of the college in the MBBS examination was good with a pass percentage of 76 in II year MBBS.
