CHENNAI, JUNE 5. One extra II class chair coach will be attached to Chennai Central - Bangalore Lal Bagh Expresses (2607/2608) from Sunday, according to a release from the Southern Railway. Half of the portion of this extra coach will be earmarked for women passengers, the release said. Similarly, three extra sleeper class coaches will be attached to Tambaram - Kumbakonam Fast Passengers (813/814) from June 11. The decision to add extra coaches was taken at a meeting held last week in which R.Velu, Union Minister of State for Railways, V.Anand, General Manager, Southern Railway and other senior officials participated, the release added.
Inspection at Central
Mr Velu conducted an inspection at the Central railway station on Saturday. He inspected various passenger amenities provided at the station for rail users.
