CHENNAI, JUNE 5. The State Government has announced ex gratia of Rs. 50,000 to each of the families of victims who died in two separate accidents in March. In a statement here today, the Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa, expressed her condolences to the families of victims who died in boat accident in Cuddalore and during deepening of a well in Kodambakkam here. V. Elumalai and V.Ramadas died when earth caved in on them. In the other accident, K. Manikandan, K. Priya, K. Rupen, S. Arunkumar and A. Rajmohan were drowned after their overloaded boat, capsized on the Paravanaru River at Sothikuppam. The money will be given from the general relief fund.
