Lightning kills eight

BANGALORE, JUNE 5. Eight persons were killed and six injured when lightening struck them in different parts of the State on Saturday.

The victims have been identified as Ashok Siddappa Salapuri (20) and Dashrath Hadimani (55) of Bijapur, Bhagyamma (25) of Kolar, Balbhim (22) of Bidar, Ambavva (45) of Nimbarga in Gulbarga, Yashoda (35) and Soumya (10) of Hassan district, and Manjunath (15) of Tumkur.
