Heavy rain lashes city

KOCHI, JUNE 5. City witnessed heavy rain throughout the day as monsoon has set in. No major incidents were reported.

A tree was uprooted along the railway track near Thevara overbridge. The service along this route, which ends at Willingdon Island, was temporarily suspended. The tree was removed soon and no one was injured in the mishap, fire force officers said.
