Rain likely

The city will have generally cloudy sky on Sunday. Rain or thundershowers are likely, according to the weather forecast.

On Saturday, the city recorded a maximum temperature of 29.1 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 21.7 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity was 90 per cent. It received a rainfall of 1.2 mm.

At the Airport, the maximum temperature recorded was 29.1 degrees Celsius. The Minimum temperature was 21.4 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity was 85 per cent. It received a rainfall of 1.8 mm.

Power cut

There will no power supply between 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday in Hennur Main Road village, Vaddarapalya, Byrathi Cross, Gubbi Cross, Part of HBR Layout, Hellekere, Meganapalya, Geddalahalli, Koothanur and surrounding areas, according to a press release.

`Venus transit'

The Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum is organising special programmes for the rear celestial event "Venus transit" on June 8 from 10.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. They include an interactive multimedia lecture on "A dark spot on the bright sun," a projection of magnified sun's image using telescope on real-time, and LCD projection of live telecast and webcast. Diploma

The Karnataka Parents' Association for Mentally Retarded Citizens (KPAMRC) has invited applications for admission to two-year diploma in Special Education (Mental Retardation) course. Applicants should have passed the 10+2 or PUC examination. The last date for receiving applications is June 15.
