IAS officer's blood sample taken for DNA test

By Our Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD, JUNE 5. Blood samples of the Deputy Commissioner of Excise, K. Narayana, IAS, the woman, K. Narmada, and her two children --Sanjay and Deepika -- were collected on Saturday for conducting DNA fingerprinting tests in connection with Ms. Narmada's allegation that the two children were born to her and Mr. Narayana.

"We hope the DNA test results will be announced in a month," the Jubilee Hills, Sub-Inspector, S. Venkat Reddy, said. When asked as to why Mr. Narayana was not arrested even after a criminal case was registered against him, Mr. Reddy said Ms. Narmada's main contention was that the two kids were born to her and Mr. Narayana. "The arrest will be made based on the DNA test results," he added.
