Auto driver dies in mishap

An autorickshaw driver, Chandraiah (30), died on the spot and two women passengers -- Rajeswari and Vennela -- sustained serious injuries when Toyoto Qualis hit the autorickshaw at Barkatpura crossroads on Saturday.

The two women boarded the vehicle at Kachiguda railway station to reach their house at Tarnaka, the Kachiguda police said. The driver was a resident of Manthani Gourelli village in Yacharam mandal of Ranga Reddy district.

Dairy worker electrocuted

Yada Narsimha (23), a worker of Amaravarthani Dairy Farm in Edulabad of Ghatkesar police station area, was electrocuted on Friday when he came in contact with a live wire while cropping grass.
