Mixed emotions from kin of victims

By Our Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD, JUNE 5. It was a day that witnessed mixed emotions from the relatives of the two victims -- B. Suresh and Satyanarayana Choudhary -- who were allegedly shot at by the film actor, Balakrishna, in his house a couple of days ago.

When the former Chief Minister and Balakrishna's brother-in-law, N. Chandrababu Naidu, visited Apollo Hospital on Saturday evening, a close relative of Satyanarayana Choudhary expressed his anguish saying, "While we're not allowed to see Choudhary, Balakrishna's relatives are being permitted to call on him."

While the police announced that they were relying more on scientific evidence to build up the case, Satyanarayana Choudhary's son, Srinivas, the complainant in the case, stated that he did not lodge a complaint specifically against Balakrishna. "I gave a written complaint for the sake of record, but did not have a grudge against anybody," he said talking to reporters at the Apollo Hospital.

Nagalaxmi, sister of B. Suresh, said that she and her family members were worried more about Suresh's health than Balakrishna's arrest.

When asked for her reaction about the shooting incident, she said that Suresh's speedy recovery was of highest priority to her. "I am not interested in finding out whether one is arrested or not," she remarked.
