HYDERABAD, JUNE 5. The Regional Inspection Officer, Board of Intermediate Education, Ranga Reddy district, raided the following unauthorised junior colleges being run in the name of academies without the permission of the Board on Friday. The RIO, P. Ramakrishna Reddy, raided the Narayana Junior College at Malkajgiri and Ramanthapur, and Sri Chaitanya Junior College, Ramanthapur, and seized the records, locked the rooms and closed the colleges. The colleges had been issued show-cause notices and were directed to close down their institutes. The RIO in a release said, that some managements despite several reminders were running the unauthorised junior colleges. If such colleges were not closed down, a complaint would be lodged with the police for initiating action. He reiterated his appeal to the parents and the public not to admit students in the colleges being run in the name of academy and that such students would not be allowed to appear for the Intermediate Public Examination. Parents should demand for and verify the affiliation and permission orders from the BIE in that locality before admitting students.
