Showers likely

Partly cloudy sky with chances of thundershowers in parts of the city is the forecast for Sunday. The maximum temperature will likely be 38 degree Celsius.

The city on Saturday recorded a maximum temperature of 38.2 degree Celsius and a minimum temperature of 23.8 degree Celsius. The relative humidity was 37 per cent.

Office shifted

The Tarnaka branch office of the Employees' State Insurance Corporation at Kalyani Complex has been shifted to 12-13-414/1, Plot No. 24, Sai Nilayam, Street No.1, Tarnaka. The office will start functioning at the new address from June 7, according to a press release.

Qualify in test

Two more candidates from the city have qualified in the competitive examination conducted for admission to the National Law School, Bangalore.

They are C. Nandagopal (rank 18) and Sriraj Ramesan (rank 37). The detailed results of the examination are available on the Law School's website, www.nls.ac.in, according to a press release.

Free medicine

The Active Seva Trust will organise a camp at Gandhi Gyan Mandir, Koti, on Tuesday to administer `vegetarian' medicine for asthma, allergy and chronic cold free of cost. A team of doctors, led by M.P. Sharma, will administer the medicine.

At a press conference held in this connection, Dr. Sharma said that the medicine was effective only on the `mrigashira nakshatra' day. The patient would also be provided with tablets for 45 days.

The medicine had been scientifically tested by Drugs and Cosmetics Testing Laboratory, Pharmacology division of the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology. For further inquiries, the patients may contact on the telephone numbers - 24750552, 24751413 or 98492-14309.

Bank offer

The Punjab National Bank has offered housing loans at low interest without documentation and processing fee for allottees of Singapore class project of Andhra Pradesh Housing Board at Pocharam. Details could be had from Chikkadpally branch of the bank on phone Nos. 27605981 and 27668636, according to a bank press release.
