Tiruvarur, Thanjavur Collectors take charge

TIRUVARUR JUNE 6. P. Ekambaram today took charge as Tiruvarur Collector, from G. Sundaramurthy.
Previously, Mr. Ekambaram (50) was Officer on Special Duty at the Koodankulam Nclear Power Plant. He had also worked as District Revenue Officer, Karur, Revenue Divisional Officer, Thirukovilur and Mannargudi, Personal Assistant (General) to the Pudukottai Collector and Senior Regional Manager of the Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation (TNCSC), Thanjavur.
Thanjavur
J. Radhakrishnan took charge as Thanjavur Collector.
A post-graduate in veterinary science, Dr. Radhakrishnan (36) previously worked as Sivaganga Collector. Belonging to the 1992 batch of IAS officers, he worked as trainee collector in Madurai during 1993-94, Sub-Collector, Turicorin, till 1996 and as Deputy Secretary, Department of Finance till 1999. He also worked as Commissioner of Health for a year.
He was the commissioner of Chennai Corporation in 2000-2001 and Joint Secretary, School Education in 2001.
He worked as Salem Collector from July 2001 to July 2003.
He succeeds Kosalaraman, who has been appointed Coimbatore Collector.
