BANGALORE, JUNE 7. The Karnataka Pradesh Youth Congress Committee (KPYCC) has urged the Chief Minister, N. Dharam Singh, to give Cabinet berth to the KPYCC President, Dinesh Gundu Rao, MLA. Addressing presspersons here on Monday, H.S. Sundaresh, Vice-President, KPYCC, welcomed Mr. Dharam Singh's decision to induct new faces into the Council of Ministers. The Congress had denied ticket to youth leaders and fielded aged leaders as a result of which 31 Ministers in the previous Government were defeated in the elections, he said. The KPYCC was against nominating former Ministers, who had lost the elections, to the Rajya Sabha and the Legislative Council. Mr. Sundaresh urged the Chief Minister to appoint youth leaders as heads of corporations and boards. If the Chief Minister did not concede their demand, a delegation would meet the Congress President, Sonia Gandhi, in New Delhi.
