Double delight for Ramana

VISAKHAPATNAM, JUNE 7. K.S.V Gopalakrishna won the junior boys' title beating K.N.K Chaitanya 9-11, 11-7, 11-2, 5-11, 11-8 in the district open table tennis tournament at the LIC Sports and Recreation Club here on Sunday. But his attempt for a double came a cropper when he went down fighting to Ch S.S.V Ramana 12-10, 11-6, 9-11, 9-11, 11-3, 6-11, 7-11 in the sub-junior boys' final. Ramana completed a double as he defeated Abhishek 11-2, 11-5, 11-2 in the cadet boys' final.

K. Kiran won the men's title.

OTHER results: Women's final: A. Spruthi bt N. Sruthi 11-9, 12-10, 9-11 11-8; Junior girls' final: K. Kalyani bt Emouniu 11-5, 11-4, 11-2.
